Great Accommodation Near OR Tambo Airport

We know that our lodge's visitors come from different places. But considering that most of them arrive in Johannesburg via the OR Tambo Airport, we wanted to take some extra steps for their convenience. As a courtesy service, we're always glad to offer you an airport shuttle service to Tamarisk Guest Lodge. Additionally, for those of our customers who arrive with their own car, we always offer a secure parking lot. One way airport shuttle at R150.00 per person

A bit about our rooms

There are six different rooms and all of them are very popular and well maintained. Every room has a double bed to sleep on, DSTV, and a study table and light where you can prepare your work for the days to come. The units are also serviced daily and we provide a laundry service on site. Each of our units has got its own private bathroom. There are comfortable chairs outside each room where you can relax and view nature in the beautiful adjoining garden.

A sumptous South African breakfast can be ordered at R100.00 per person. We also do supper arrangements by request at a very reasonable rate of R200.00 pp.

Facilities

We also provide safe and secure parking for your vehicle. A transfer and shuttle service to and from the airport is available. At Tamarisk Guest Lodge you have for your relaxation a couple of things to do. After a long day at the office, come and relax under a bushveld lapa or get into a sparkling pool with something cold from the bar.

Attractions And Activities

Tamarisk Guest Lodge is relatively close to places of interest. Uncle Tim’s Cabin is just up the road where you can find all sorts of Antiquities and exotic goods. They have a delightful restaurant called The Secret Garden where they offer ample meals at fantastic prices. Not far away in Benoni there is a large mall with many things to do.

Emperor’s Palace, a casino of note, also offers wining and dining with casinos and movie theatres. A bit further away there’s the East Rand Mall, quite a large shopping mall. The East Rand is packed with places of interest. You can view a couple of brochures at our offices with places of interest. Some operators offer guided tours to exotic locations.

Golfing

The enthusiastic golfer can choose from plus / minus 10 of South Africa’s best maintained golf courses in and around the area and will get to know the African bush and sun in no time. For the people that like to play bowls, we can arrange a game at the Northmead Bowling Club and you can relax in between your busy schedule. For the sport lover, we are very close to four of South Africa’s major rugby, cricket and football stadiums. Just to mention a few, Coca Cola Park (Ellis Park), Loftus Versveld, FNB Stadium, Wanderers Cricket Grounds and Super Sport Park. We can always arrange tickets for our guests to go and watch major sporting events.
